8.7--8.11 Nanjing 4th Eye Movement Data Processing Class

Siying technology will hold its fourth eye movement data processing classes from 2019/8/7 to 2019/8/11 (Wednesday - Sunday ) in Nanjing (see timetable arrangements).

Introduction

Eye movement technology has been widely used in the fields of psychology, engineering and clinical practice. For example, in infants and young children, eye movement technology is widely used in such groups because of the inability or accuracy of infants to express their thoughts and accomplish some cognitive tasks. It reveals many exciting results and many articles. Related articles were published in leading international journals such as Nature and Science . In addition, eye movements have a wide range of applications in reading, consumer behavior, and human factors engineering. At present, although quite a few units have purchased eye trackers, they do not fully understand eye movement knowledge, lack professional eye movement data processing technology, and some common statistics are difficult to implement and cannot output beautiful result images. In view of this, we hope that through this study, relevant researchers will have a deeper understanding of eye movements and bring about advances in data processing.

Solid mastery of eye movement data processing technology is the key to psychological and cognitive research. To this end, Si Ying Technology intends to organize eye movement data processing classes to help researchers in related fields quickly master eye movement data processing technology and improve eye movement through hands-on teaching. Data processing level.

Training  Content

The training is aimed at doctors, college teachers and students who want to use eye movement technology for psychological, cognitive and engineering research. Si Ying Technology has always adhered to small class teaching methods, and is equipped with teaching assistants. Support, timely solve the problems in the student data processing.

The training content mainly includes: basic principles and experimental design of eye movement, introduction of eye movement events and eye movement indicators, eye movement entropy, eye movement heat map, iDynamic/iMap4 software operation, R/RStudio processing eye movement data, data cleaning, statistics, Ggplot2 data visualization and more.

Note: If it is convenient, please arrive at the venue ( 10:00 - 20:00 ) one day before the start of the meeting to familiarize yourself with the venue, install software, copy materials and so on.

12  Trainer Profile:

Wang Qiandong, Ph.D. student at the Frontier Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Peking University. Currently, eye movement and near-infrared brain imaging techniques are mainly used to explore the cognitive development of children with autism. More than 5 years of experience with Eyelink and Tobii eye trackers . Proficiency in Matlab and Python for programming and data processing of eye movement experiments. A total of nine eye movement articles have been published in domestic and foreign journals in the field, one of which is seven .

Lu Haoyang is a Ph.D. student at the Frontier Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Peking University. At present, the research mainly uses behavioral research and computational modeling to study the inferred decision-making process and other cognitive functions of children and adults with autism. Proficiency in Matlab for experimental programming of eye movements, and more than 5 years of experience in data processing, analysis and visualization using R. A decision-making experiment based on eye movements and behavioral indicators is currently underway. Participated in data analysis and processing of several projects, and the results were published in foreign SSCI and domestic authoritative and first-level psychology journals.

Yang Tianyu, master's degree, holds a background in mathematics and computer science. He is good at methodology in brain imaging and technical director of Si Ying Technology.
